Our Mission
At DETOUR Community Services, we aim to help incarcerated individuals become productive, disciplined, and purpose-driven members of society.
The Problem DETOUR Addresses
There is a continual need for reform within our correctional system. Presently, many individuals return to being incarcerated because they were never given the tools for internal transformation and sustained support. In addition to recidivism (reoffending after incarceration), we currently have a gap in addressing many issues within our penal system, including but not limited to:
Weak reentry preparation
Unresolved trauma and mental health challenges
The absence of long-term support after release
And a lack of personal accountability
Our Solution
DETOUR aims to help those negatively affected by our correctional system by providing them with education, mentorship, and faith-based guidance that supports personal transformation and successful reintegration into society.
Our services specialize in:
Reentry - planning for life after incarceration
Aftercare - ongoing guidance after release
And Social Therapy - healing the mind and behavior

Incarceration → Transformation → Stability → Leadership
Our Long-Term Vision
DETOUR aims to become a statewide and national rehabilitation model that: operates in correctional facilities, supports individuals during reentry, and provides ongoing aftercare. Our goal is to create a system where individuals transition from incarceration → transformation → stability → leadership.
